~~Vasaicha Maharaja Visarjan Procession~~
Every year the 7th day of Ganesh Festival is chosen for the Vasai cha Maharaja's Visarjan/immersion of the idol.On this auspicious day a huge ''visarjan/immersion procession'' of Maharaja begins in the afternoon.Thousands of devotees participate in this procession with the soulfull music of Shehnai,Dhol Tashe and Lord Ganesha's various devotional songs.A live band also participates in it.Devotees throw gulal and flowers all over the procession.The procession lasts for over 12 hours.

The procession ends on the other day at morning around 5.
